Privacy Policy
Effective: April 30, 2026
This privacy policy explains what information we collect when you visit rampstack.co and what we do with it. RampStack operates a small set of public web pages and open source projects. We have tried to keep our data practices simple.
What we collect
Three things happen when you visit rampstack.co that involve information about your visit.
Server logs (Vercel). Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically logs basic request information for every page view. This typically includes IP address, browser type, operating system, the page requested, and the time of the request. Vercel uses this information for security, abuse prevention, and operational purposes. Vercel's data practices are governed by Vercel's privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Anonymous analytics (Umami). We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the site is used. Umami does not set cookies, does not track users across sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information. The data we see is anonymous and aggregated (page views, referrers, country of visit, screen size). Umami's data practices are at umami.is/privacy.
Direct correspondence. If you send us an email at the address listed on the site, we will receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use this information only to respond to you.
We do not collect names, account information, payment information, or any other personal data directly on this site. We do not have user accounts. We do not use third-party advertising networks or social media trackers.
Cookies
We do not set any cookies on rampstack.co.
How we use information
The information described above is used only for the purposes listed: operating the site, understanding usage at an aggregate level, and responding to email correspondence. We do not sell, rent, or share any of this information with third parties for their own commercial purposes.
Data retention
Vercel server logs are retained according to Vercel's standard retention schedule. Umami aggregate analytics is retained according to its own schedule. Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to respond and maintain a reasonable record of communication.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information about you. These can include the right to access, correct, or delete information we have about you, and the right to object to certain uses. To exercise these rights, email us at the address listed in the site footer.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with similar laws, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or equivalent legislation. If you are in California, you may have additional rights under the CCPA and CPRA. We will respond to verifiable requests within the time frames required by applicable law.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the threshold). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.
