Resonance designs and builds high-fidelity audio systems by hand in Helsinki. We are interested in only one thing: the room becoming the recording.

Each system is built for a kind of listening. The floor pair for a dedicated room. The headphones for the train. The companion for the kitchen.

Three systems on the bench at any given time. We do not fabricate at scale; we calibrate one instrument and then build the next.
01 · Driver
21cm beryllium cone
Ultra-low-distortion mid-bass with a phase-corrected dome tweeter, hand-aligned at the studio.
02 · Crossover
Discrete-component network
Polypropylene capacitors and air-core inductors. No off-the-shelf parts. Tuned by ear, then by graph.
03 · Cabinet
Cross-laminated birch
32mm walls braced internally with steel ribs. The cabinet contributes nothing to the sound. That is the point.
The room
Built to disappear.
A speaker should leave the room before the music does. Our cabinets are heavy on purpose, finished in materials that age, and proportioned for living rooms rather than studios.
Where to listen
By appointment, in twelve cities.
We do not sell through high-street retailers. Every Resonance system is auditioned in a partner room before it ships, by appointment, with the principal engineer present.
