Every recipe is short on purpose. If we cannot point to the farm, the cut, or the field, it does not go in.

Whole muscle and organ meat, gently cooked at low temperatures so the proteins your dog actually digests stay intact.

Real vegetables, washed and chopped. Sweet potato for steady energy, blueberry for the antioxidants, kale because dogs do well on bitter greens.

Why we made Hounder.

I started cooking for Birch the year his vet flagged his kidney function. I read every label in the pet aisle, found ingredients I could not pronounce, and decided I wanted something I could see and smell before I served it.

Hounder is the food I made for him, made for your dog. We source from farms we have visited, work with a veterinary nutritionist on every recipe, and ship in portions matched to your dog's weight. If anything ever stops feeling right, write to me directly.
